Basketweave Scarf

When designing this I had in mind it would make an ideal beginner project. It uses only knit and purl stitches but the finished result is a lovely scarf with a beautiful texture. The yarn used is Organic Merino DK available from The Knitting Gift Shop.

Requires:

1 x 100g skein Merino DK (yardage : approx 240m/260y)

1 pair of 4.50mm (UK7 - US7) knitting needles 

Size When Finished: Length 91.50cm x Width 19cm (36in x 7 1/2in) approx

Difficulty -  Easy Knit - basic stitches required (knit, purl)
